Useful information


  • All grants (with the exception of sick leave) are applied for electronically through the Association's website.
  • Applications and all necessary documents must be received by the 20th of each month in order to be paid at the end of that month.
  • Grants are paid out on the last working day of each month.
  • It is important that applications are accompanied by certified payment receipts.
  • Applications for sickness allowance must be sent by e-mail to stf@stf.is.

Physiotherapy, medical massage, health massage and chiropractor

ISK 80,000 maximum

  • Paid 75% of the cost
  • The amount paid out is renewed 12 months later

  • A birth certificate must accompany the application

  • Due to the death of a member of staff
  • Must have been a fund member for at least 6 months at the time of death
  • This grant is applied for by email

ISK 300,000 maximum

  • Also applies to a disabled person who had been paying for more than 10 years
  • If a member had paid for more than 10 years
  • If the partner had paid less, a percentage of the amount is calculated

12 trips maximum per year

  • A grant from TR must be used first
  • 40 km - 100 km = 5,000 kr
  • 100 km - 250 km = 10,000 kr
  • 250 km - 400 km = 17,000 kr
  • 400 km and further = 25,000 kr
